The Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking an experienced Senior Community Research Project Manager. Under the direction of the Executive Director, Primary Care Research Initiatives, the incumbent will promote and support primary care research strategic efforts; facilitate research capacity by designing, coordinating, collecting, and processing data for diverse research projects and coordinate the development of a practice-based (PBRN) and community based (CBRN) research networks. May travel to various sites within specified geographical area, as appropriate, for the objectives of the study. May perform and record field interviews and/or extract data from electronic medical records, in strict accordance with specified research and clinical compliance protocols. The incumbent will serve as primary support to all primary care researchers within Heritage College. Foster the growth and development of the primary care research initiatives. Engage and support Heritage College faculty, PBRN-/CBRN-affiliated members, centers, institutions, and community partners. Fosters relationships with university and community practices and health centers and identify potential areas of research interest. Connect practices and community to the larger research vision promoting understanding of the local needs. Link clinicians and researchers to initiate or conduct research/quality improvement projects. Support mission and values of the Heritage College as well as promote primary care research strategic plan by following established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards. Direct day-to-day operations (network development, research implementation and coordination) for primary care research faculty. Tasks include, but not limited to: support research administrative needs such as assisting with coordinating research meetings; development of questionnaires/surveys; preparing research presentations; and assisting with research reports and/or manuscripts; assist with development and maintenance of research databases.; assists with subject recruitment, administration of informed consent, and subject scheduling; assists in the development of interview schedules; contacts potential subjects to introduce and explain study objectives and protocol, and to arrange interviews, either in person or by telephone; conducts and records face-to-face and/or telephone interviews with subjects, in accordance with predetermined interview protocol, data collection procedures, and documentation standards; collects, processes, and assists in the compilation and verification of research data, following strict protocol and detailed instructions; assists with routine data verification and quality control, ensuring data integrity and consistency with prescribed study protocol. Serves as resource for facilitating grants, contracts and financial tasks for research projects. The incumbent will provide services for researchers in study budgeting, routing, and account management and reconciliation. Provide professional writing for manuscript preparation, funding opportunity identification, grant proposal identification, development and submission in collaboration with Heritage College Primary Care research faculty, OU ORSPand college leadership. Serves as an instructor and mentor for quality and education activities. Monitors compliance throughout all study activities; engages compliance oversight as needed; maintains all licensure, certification and system education requirements for role; coordinates educational activities related to study needs for study staff, investigator team and patient care staff; Initiates departmental policy and quality projects. Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : - Must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration or health-related field, Communications, or closely related field. Financial and Accounting coursework is helpful. - Must have a minimum of 4 years of professional work experience that is relative to the scope, function, and responsibilities of this position. - Must have a minimum of 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience. - Must complete Research Compliance Training within the first 90 days of employment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : - Completed a Master’s Degree - Previous experience in conducting or being part of a research team, management of research projects, and other aspects of primary care research is highly desirable.
