The Senior Research Project Manager, Consortium is responsible for managing operations and fostering the growth and development of the Central Appalachian Consortium of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine ( CACCOM ). CACCOM is a partnership between three colleges of Osteopathic Medicine whose shared vision is to improve the health status of the region through collaborative, sustainable activity that enhances health, and elevates the osteopathic profession’s research portfolio. Initially it aims to develop and implement innovations in physician workforce preparation to improve access and the health status of vulnerable populations throughout central Appalachia. Current and future programs will align with the mission and vision of the Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine and CACCOM , and support research capacity development in participating COMs for clinical research and research in medical education. The Manager serves as the principal liaison between the Consortium and college leadership at each participating COM . 1. Foster the growth and development of the Central Appalachian Consortium of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine ( CACCOM ). Coordinate the key personnel at each participating College of Osteopathic Medicine assigned to the Consortium (includes Dean Governing body, faculty workgroup and research faculty/staff). Advocate assertively for the success of CACCOM while strengthening its network of researchers. Activities include overseeing partners’ contributions to the stated grant objectives, coordinating consortium meetings; liaising with consortium members to ensure alignment between individual COM’s and overall CACCOM organizational direction; enabling cross organizational culture of effective learning and sharing; exploring possible partnerships, developing sustainability and strategic planning. 2. Implement programmatic initiatives to achieve goals established through contracts or grants, including budgeting, invoicing, and financial management of projects To accomplish the initial objectives set forth for the consortium, facilitate/ensure (in collaboration with the Heritage College faculty CACCOM lead) the completion of the workforce assessment, internal SWOT assessment, data analyses, and integration of the qualitative/quantitative findings to create a Chartbook and inform the strategic plan. 3. Direct day-to-day operations (network development, budget management, conference & meeting planning, communications, website development, meeting minutes) for CACCOM . Tasks include, but are not limited to, development of foundational organizational policies and procedures, including bylaws which articulate the governance structure for the organization, refine the mission, vision, and strategy for the organization. 4. Assist with professional writing for manuscript preparation, funding opportunity identification, grant proposal development, and submission in collaboration with CACCOM research faculty, OU ORSP , college leadership, and consortium partners. 5. Other duties as assigned MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : - Must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration or health-related field. Financial and Accounting coursework helpful. - Must have a minimum of 4 years of work experience that is relative to the scope, functions, and responsibilities of this position. - Must have a minimum of 3 years of supervisory/managerial work experience. - Must complete required research compliance training within the first 90 days pf hire if not completed prior to start date. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : - Completed a Master’s Degree. - Demonstrated project management skills are preferred; Experience with networks or cross institutional collaborative desirable. Skills with consensus developed, shared visioning, and organizational development preferred.
